A well-known fashion face will appear on at least three magazine covers for the May 2011 editions. Both Vogue Japan (née Vogue Nippon) and UK Harper's Bazaar have chosen Kate Moss as their leading lady for May, but they have captured her in two completely different settings. The cover for Vogue Japan is shot by Mert Alas & Marcus Piggott. Kate wears the famous Chanel feather dress from the S/S 2011 collection, which is described as a "quivering cloud of apricot feathers" by Tim Blanks. Styled together with tight, back-combed hair and bright red lips, it makes up a strong statement cover.
UK Harper's Bazaar has opted for a softer and more gentle Kate. Two covers have been made in the honour of Alexander McQueen and the upcoming exhibition, Savage Beauty, at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. In the first cover, Kate wears a white dress from Sarah Burton's first collection for Alexander McQueen. The second shows Kate in the iconic ruffled organza dress she wore for the famous hologram video from Alexander McQueen's A/W 2006 show. Both covers are shot by Sølve Sundsbø.
Which cover is your favourite? Mine is definitely the last one.
