I am in love with Lanvin's Fall 2011 collection. Let me correct that; I am in love with Lanvin. Period. Alber Elbaz has this unique ability to understand the anatomy of a woman. He also has the best dance moves. Check it out in this campaign video - it is wonderful.

I Heart The Poncho

One of the main trends for fall 2011 season is the poncho. At first, I didn't know if I would be jumping on to this trend, but after discovering a wonderful light brown poncho at H&M (and buying it!) I am officially a poncho fan. It is such an easy and chic piece to use - just throw it over any outfit to give it that edgy, but relaxed feel to it. I am craving Caroline's poncho as seen above - I think I have to go hunting very soon!

The Perfect Wall

If you have a blank wall in your apartment, this is definitely an excellent way to make it much more personal. I have several lonely, white walls where I live, so I will definitely be experimenting with a bunch of photos of my loved ones and lots of sticky tape.

Mossy Green, Silver Metallic & Chanel Flats

I wish I looked like this today. The perfectly loose, mossy green jumper works so well against the silver metallic miniskirt. Those ballerina shoes from Chanel are sky high on my wishlist - they give the outfit the most amazing parisian chic feel to it.

Welcome To My Life, Tattoo

I have been wanting a tattoo for ages. One that is placed right where this girl has her tattoo. After seeing this image I am craving it even more, though I am thinking more in the lines of a feather rather than a bird (like the one Erin Wasson has). Should I? Shouldn't I? I can't decide.

Do you have a tattoo? Where? And of what?

The Wedding

These photographs from the wedding of Kate Moss and Jamie Hince have been roaming the internet ever since they were published for the September 2011 issue of Vogue US, but I just have to post them here too. And can you blame me? These are the images of a perfect wedding. I have saved them in my inspiration folder, all ready to find when it is time for my big day. And I know that I am not the only one...

The Twins

Here, the gorgeous Mary-Kate and Ashley prove exactly why every wardrobe should consist of good basics. Jeans in blues and blacks, white shirts and basic jumpers are among the must-have essentials. Such pieces create the best palette for when you have such wonderful accessories such as the twins have.

I'm Fancy

Don't you just love the feeling of when you stumble across an amazing, new blog? I know I do. And me being a perfectionist and everything makes this a rare thing. A few days ago, I discovered Fanny Lyckman's blog, "I'm Fancy", and I have been mildly obsessed (an understatement!) with her outfits (and her hair!). What is it with Swedish girls? They all seem to have style running through their veins. Don't you agree?

Moving, Books & Dreams

I must admit that I underestimated this whole moving project. Being a perfectionist makes me consider every inch of my apartment and which wonderful things I can experiment with. However, this is not the main reason why I have been absent for weeks. Apparently, it takes a month for me to get internet access here. Oh, joy! But don't fret (if any of you are fretting that is!). I have found a gorgeous, little café not far from my place with free internet access (huzzah!). Meaning that you can expect more frequent posts.

When that is said, not having internet access has allowed me to re-discover my beloved books. I have been especially obsessed with the amazing book that my boyfriend got me for my last birthday, "Fashion: 150 Years of Couturiers, Designers, Labels" by Charlotte Seeling. It is so wonderfully time-consuming, and allows my thoughts to drift off into gorgeous dreams.

Are there any fashion books you would recommend?

Veronica B. Vallenes S/S 2012

As we speak, Copenhagen Fashion Week is happening. Even though we are heading for colder weather and the A/W 2011 trends (and the S/S 2012 season seems so far away), I can't help but post this video from Veronica B. Vallenes' runway show. I have had my eye on Vallenes and her designs for a little while now, and this collection proves why - don't you just love the pastels, the earthy tones, the dramatic blacks, the loose, flowy fabrics, and the hooded pieces. I am also mad about the jewelry!

Hello, Lovely Yellow Dress

You could say that I have a mild addiction to yellow (I guess you could cross out mild, and replace it with the word strong!). Especially the light, soothing pastel shade of the colour. I have to admit that I still, sometimes, obsess over a gorgeous dress in a lovely sunny yellow that Mischa Barton wore back in 2006. It is the perfect dress for throwing on for running errands, looking both relaxed and chic. However, this post is not about Mischa Barton or the perfect everyday yellow dress. This post is about the stunning dress designed by Italian designer, Fausto Puglisi, worn here by Anna Dello Russo.

The dress is from Puglisi's S/S 2011 collection. The designer was chosen by Dolce & Gabbana to take part in their early designer's project, which earned him a place in the concept department store, Via Spiga 2. One can say that Anna Dello Russo is just excited by Fausto Puglisi as her friends, Domenico and Stefano. It is not only the fresh, vibrant colour (or the beautiful shape of the dress itself!) that I love so much. The gold details ooze of such power and gives off such a strong attitude - which is something I find so amazing. Fausto explained his use of gold to vogue.it: "In particular I am attracted to gold: from the Roman empire to mafia iconography, from Damien Hirst to Napoleon, from army uniforms to madonnas' mantles; I am fascinated by the possibility of incorporating in my clothes that fierce power that gold has given to the personalities of those historic periods." Oh, lovely, LOVELY dress, won't you come my way?

Bitch Please. You've Got More Issues Than Vogue.

As many of you already know, I am in the process of decorating my new apartment. With this constantly on my mind, I am always on the lookout for new and interesting ideas. Earlier, I mentioned how inspired I am by Jessica Stam's New York apartment (a post that Jessica Stam herself happened to post on her Twitter page!!!!! Oh, please let me gush a little!) Today, I came by these photos from the Swedish stylist, Isabelle Håwi's apartment. I love the bright pops of colour in the first photo - the pink and orange roses, the bright, emerald green lace blouse, and the rich gold mirror. Another element that instantly caught my eye, is the framed piece of paper to right which says: "Bitch Please. You've got more issues than Vogue". Don't you just love that? I do! And I might just have to steal that idea.

I read that if Isabelle sees anything with elephants, she has to buy it. I am very similar in that way. Elephants are one of my favourite animals - they are so beautiful and majestic. I would not mind those elephant book stands in the second photo. Also, Isabelle has provided me with a great idea for where to keep my shoes (see the third photo). Even though I love my shoes immensely, there is always the question of where to keep them all. However, note to self: never light a fire when the shoes are hanging up.

Check out more photos from Isabelle's apartment HERE.

The French Way

After weeks of pure relaxation and blissful days and nights, both in Spain (the tapas, the sangria & the sun!) and in France (the wine, the endless lunches & the shopping!), I am back home. The one thing that strikes me every time I stay in France I am in awe of how elegant and stylish many French women dress and carry themselves. The thing I find most inspiring is how comfortable they seem in their own skin, something that then again leads to laidback confidence in everything they wear. I am a 100% sure that you know what I am talking about, but to enhance the image think of Clemence Poésy, Vanessa Paradis, Jane Birkin, Catherine Deneuve and last, but not least, Emmanuelle Alt.

In an interview back in March this year, Emmanuelle Alt told Hilary Alexander that her uniform consists of skinny jeans from J.Brand, Acne or TopShop, teamed together with T-shirts, cashmere sweaters from Ralph Lauren or Prada. A Balmain jacket, a vintage fur or black heels are never far away. "Nonchalant, cool chic is the Alt attitude," Alexander states. I believe that this is an essential attitude that many French women possess. Their style is timeless, chic and simplistic - and I think that I will be crushing on French women's outfits forever, and secretly dreaming of moving to Paris one day to become one of them.
