I am speechless. Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen S/S 2012 made me completely and utterly speechless. And not to sound too dramatic, but I almost cried aswell. Not only because she absolutely blew the fashion world away with this collection, proving that she is a darn good designer, but also because there is so much of Lee McQueen in it. So much of his essence and spirit. The gold, the masks, the exquisite tailoring, the darkness breathes of McQueen, but the softness, the femininity, the lightness is added on by Burton. I am positive that Lee would have been so, so proud.
