When it comes to Isabel Marant, I am a fan no matter what. The knits, the prints, the embellishments - it's all wonderful. Some pieces grab my intention instantly, others have to grow on me. But all in all, Isabel Marant's designs have that edgy, cool parisian elegance that I just can't get enough of.

When I don't roam the internet for style and fashion inspiration, I try to discover new images that give me tips concerning interior decorating. I can never get enough of looking at photos of beautiful and interesting rooms. When I walk outside when it's dark, I often glance up at windows where there's light to see if there is some inspiration to find there. Recently, I've discovered this beautiful renaissance-looking apartment with bright pink walls and all-white furniture and flowers in the living room. It's absolutely gorgeous. Anyway, it's not the first time I've seen these images from Elin Kling's fabulous apartment in Stockholm, but I just can't understand why I haven't posted them here earlier. So now is the time.

I was so excited to see what Balmain's Spring/Summer 2012 collection would look like as it is the first collection designed by Olivier Rousteing for the fashion house. It still resembles Christophe Decarnin's edgy touch, but at the same time one can see that these looks from the S/S 2012 collection are slightly more refined and more polished than the previous Balmain collections. I am especially loving that last dress. I can't wait to see which celebrity will wear it first.

What are your thoughts on this collection? Do you like Olivier Rousteing's designs? Or do you miss Decarnin for Balmain?

The Tricks of the French

When getting dressed in the morning, I always think "What would the French wear?". I am so obsessed with the French women and their lovely way of dressing, and their ability to always looking chic and elegant. It seems that Liv Tyler also finds inspiration in this way of dressing. With this outfit she has nailed so many of the essentials of a French woman's wardrobe: the timeless trench, the black, skinny cigarette pants, the black and white striped jumper and the black ballet flats. Simplicity is the key.

The Model Way

Plenty of times here on Style Spot, I have stated that I often find the most inspiration in models' outfits, and here is more proof to why I think so. Models always remind us of how small details can make an outfit look so much better. Team chunky boots with a short, pretty dress (such as Candice Swanepoel), wear a long, asymmetrical cardigan as a dress (such as Natasha Poly) or, for those days when you feel like you have nothing to wear, always remember that you can never go wrong with a great leather jacket paired with jeans (such as Ruby Aldridge and Karmen Pedaru).

Columbine Smille in London

Blogger Columbine Smille put together this video after being in London for the S/S 2012 shows. It is so beautiful. All those streetstyle photos and fashion shows become alive through her lens. Watch Part I HERE.

MFW S/S 2012: Roberto Cavalli

Aren't these two dresses from Roberto Cavalli's Spring/Summer 2012 collection simply divine? They are both the perfect combination of sheer material and sequins, and ooze of that sexy glamour which Roberto Cavalli is so famous for. I am also very fond of gold and white teamed together, so it's a given that I am slightly obsessed with the first look.

The Perfect Skirt

It's no secret that I am a huge admirer of Christine Centenera's wonderful style. Every fashion week she turns up in the most amazing pieces. The pieces she wears are often very elegant and minimalistic, but they always have an interesting twist to them. Such as this skirt. So versatile, but yet so unique.

On Thursday, Liv Tyler attended the world premiere of "Ocean's Kingdom" during the New York Ballet's 2011 Fall Gala. She wore an amazingly gorgeous black gown from Stella McCartney's Pre-Fall 2011 collection. I love it when Liv Tyler wears pieces like this as she carries them with such elegance, class and sophistication. And green jewelry teamed together with a black wonderful dress is such a winner combination - remember Angelina Jolie's ensemble at the Oscar's in 2009?

I am so loving these looks from the Sportmax Spring/Summer 2012 collection. Especially those metallic knits. They are so versatile, and perfect to throw on for some instant glamour. Also, the silver metallic detail on the trench is brilliant - a future DIY project maybe?

I feel that these images from Milan Fashion Week don't need much explaining. They speak for themselves in a language of perfection, inspiration and glamour. But just to let it be known: I am crazy in love with those golden Miu Miu heels.

The Style Sisters

There is no doubt that sisters Cara & Poppy Delevigne share the same genes when it comes to style sense. I first discovered Poppy's elegant, slightly eclectic style, and quickly became fascinated. When her younger sister, Cara, appeared on the fashion scene with her tougher, biker chic style, I officially became a huge fan of the Delevigne sisters.

Even though this outfit is super simple, I really love it. It's often I find the most inspiration in things that are pure and simple. Here, Bianca Brandolini D'Adda was photographed at Milan Fashion Week for the Fendi S/S 2012 show dressed in brown and black, with gorgeous, simple accessories and red nail polish.

On Monday night, at the Moet & Chandon Etoile award ceremony in honour of Mario Testino, Rosie Huntington-Whitely showed yet again why she and Burberry are such a great match. She looks like a gorgeous starlet from old Hollywood in that white chiffon gown, that glowingly red lipstick and with wavy, side swept hair.

LFW S/S 2012: Olivia Palermo

One of the celebrity threads that I have been following closely during London Fashion Week, is Olivia Palermo's thread. As the trusted friend of LFW that she is, and being known to attend shows such as Mulberry and TopShop Unique, there was bound to be a shower of photos of her on the internet this week.

Olivia has been sporting a lot of maxi skirts during LFW. Over at the Fashion Spot forums, there are many who don't seem to like this look on Olivia, but to be honest, I don't really see why. I think she looks adorable, and it gives her that London edge.

What do you think of Olivia's style during LFW?

LFW S/S 2012: Burberry Prorsum Favourite Look

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

When this look appeared on the catwalk, I literally gasped out loud. Even though there were a lot of stunning and lust-worthy outfits strutting down the runway during the Burberry Prorsum show, this striped trenchcoat teamed with that belt and those incredible shoes is my absolute favourite look. And I love that the model's hair is tucked into the trench - such a good detail.

LFW S/S 2012: Burberry Prorsum's Frontrow

One can safely say that the most anticipated fashion show during London Fashion Week is the Burberry Prorsum show. Yesterday, at the Hyde Park venue, he front rows were filled to the brim with A-list celebrities, such as Kanye West, Mario Testino and Rachel Zoe. One can always expect great outfits (as most of the people attending are wearing Burberry!), which Sienna Miller, Rosie Huntington-Whitely and Gemma Arterton showed us.

Rosie Huntington-Whitely, the face of Burberry's newest fragrance "Body", arrived in this stunning red, leather trench from Burberry's Resort 2012 collection. It looks like it was made purely for her.

I was so happy to see that Sienna Miller attended the show. To me, she epitomizes London fashion and style. I have to admit that during the live show, I often found myself looking at Sienna, trying to figure out which pieces she liked the best.

Gemma Arterton looked gorgeous in a minimalistic black and white outfit. I love how that yellow clutch really pops out. It brings an element of fun to it, and that is what London fashion is all about.

Who do you think was the best dressed at the Burberry Prorsum show?
